How the Texas Voice News Android app handles your information. Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and your settings stay on your phone.

Who we are

The Texas Voice News app for Android is published by JulieApps. It shows news from txvoicenews.com and sends optional news alerts by city or for all of Texas, in English or Spanish. This policy covers the app only.

Information we collect

The app has no accounts. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location.

Settings stored on your device

Your language, chosen regions, and quiet hours are saved only on your phone so the app can follow them. They are not sent to us.

Push notifications

To deliver alerts, the app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Firebase gives your device an app instance identifier (a push token), and the app subscribes it to the news regions you choose. This identifier is used only to deliver notifications and is not linked to your identity. Quiet hours are applied on your device. You can turn alerts off in Android settings at any time. Subscriptions and payments

Subscriptions and free trials are sold and processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card or billing details. The app only asks Google Play whether your subscription is active so it can turn alerts on or off. Google handles this information under the Google Privacy Policy. You can cancel any time in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.

News content and links

Headlines and summaries are loaded from txvoicenews.com over a secure (HTTPS) connection. When you open a story, it opens on the original news publisher's website, which has its own privacy policy.

Advertising and tracking

The app shows no ads, includes no analytics or advertising SDKs, does not use the advertising ID, and does not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes all settings stored on your device and stops notifications. Push tokens that are no longer used expire automatically. You can also email us to ask about or delete any data related to your use of the app.

Security

All network traffic between the app, txvoicenews.com, Firebase, and Google Play is encrypted in transit.

Children’s privacy

This app is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date below. Effective date: October 6, 2026.
